PROJECT UPDATE: Business Are Open During Construction
Construction has changed how you get there, but every business along and adjacent to the Argonne corridor remains open: restaurants, shops, and services alike. Access is being maintained throughout construction, and business access routes are signed.
We know the cones and lane shifts add a few minutes to the trip, but construction season is when these businesses need your support most. So keep your appointments, grab lunch in Millwood, and shop local.
The businesses are open, and the extra effort to reach them makes a real difference.
Looking Ahead: Next 2 Weeks
As with any construction project, the schedule can shift when weather or surprises get in the way, so treat the dates below as our best estimate, not a promise.
Week of July 20: Electrical work continues. Crew will begin repairs to weak spots in the road base and preparation for new sidewalk and curb installation.
Week if July 27: Crew begins to pour new sidewalk and curb. Crew will then complete final grade and clean-up of site to prepare for paving northbound lanes!
